I got my new M3DS Real today, so I thought, I'll make a discussion thread about it.
On Supercard SD, all Mario Kart CW Builds are working, but M3DS Real has the classic problems.

Unfortunately, the answer is yes.
However, NeoWynaut already discovered there are textures in the .carc files, but for some reason, there aren't playable in textures.
In the mean while, we have to stick with the good old Beta.

After a good talk with Narin, something is inside an ARM file.
I tried to open it, using an ARM Disassembler.
It is kinda hard, through.

Hi.

I have a CycloDS Evolution, and everytime I try to play nokonoko_course/mini_block_course I get a black screen, do you know what I have to do?

Also, I'm investigating how to get the beta courses working in the final game with textures.
I found some confidential Nintendo software; some plugins for exporting to .imd in 3D programs (like Maya or 3D Studio Max), a imd to nsbmd/nsbtx compiler, nsbmd viewer + glhijaker...

With the GL Hijacker, for some reason I can't capture the textures, only 3D models...

With Slot 1 cards, it is quite normal Nokonoko and Mini Block don't work.
I have noticed, with a normal SD card, you can format it to FAT, Micro SD's can't.
As soon as I get a new Micro SD card, I'll try to format it to FAT and see if it works than.

But there are other possibilities, like using DSOrganize.
However, this didn't work for me (it was patching DLDI like forever, through).

And about 3D models, you only need NSBMD.
NeoWynaut already discovered there are Beta textures in the Final MKDS, but for a reason, normal tracks don't load textures in NSBMD.
So we need to reverse that, our team thinks.
But, how?

I don't understand what you say. My MicroSD it's in FAT16.

As far as I know, in the Final MKDS, .NSBMD files contains "Texture SRT Animation" and .NSBTX files contains textures & palettes (this is what the compiler says).

Now I'm trying to extract the nokonoko's textures from the Demo game with an hex editor and insert it into nokonoko_courseTex.carc as course_model.nsbtx, let's see what happens.

The last thing you've said is very interesting.
But the problem is, with my NarcTool, I can't extract the course CARC's from the Beta, and I can't extract (INSERT_HERE)Tex.carc files.

Do you have better suggestions?

I used narctool for extracting narc files inside the carc, I attached my narctool.
Then use NarcExplorer to see what's inside the narc files.

I still don't understand why nokonoko and mini block courses don't work.
The problem resides on the File System (FAT16 it's mine)? Or it's a compatibility problem with my firmware? Or a general problem with all SLOT 1 cards?

At the first, like I have said before, I am trying that out.
At the second, I don't think so.
At the last, I think it is.

All since I have 2 cards:
Supercard SD (Slot 2, FAT).
M3DS Real (Slot 1, FAT16/32).

I can run everything on my SCSD with no problem.
But on my M3DSR, I can't.
And for the NarcTool, is that the 0.1 version?
0.1 sucked.
I am using 0.2c, which is modified by dexter0.

I am using the code you told.
The error is, it can't open files with a Male or Female, or whatever sign.
I am using Vista and XP under VirtualBox on Linux.

And yes, I did old_mario_gcTex.carc.
Tried both MKDS and MKDSB.

Edit:
And now with NARC Explorer 2.

As you can see, there is nothing like course_model.nsbtx in both MKDS narcs.
