Just see it like that, you want to create your own site, but you know nothing about HTML coding.
What do you do?
Right!
Making a crappy, but easy as hell HTML page, graphically!
If you want a professional site, like Nintenlord X, you can better stick with a non-graphical text editor, like Notepad++, Gedit or MousePad.

Start up your favourite Office software, like Microsoft Word 2007, OpenOffice.org 2.4 Writer or Google Docs.

Make sure you change the make up to HTML.

Decorate your page as much as you want! :)

Save your page.
Be sure you have checked .html while saving!
No Word or ODF format!

Your page as displayed in Firefox...

...Complete with the source of the page in HTML! :D

As you can see, n00bs can also create a site.
But if you want a descent working site, with a good looking template, you have to use a Text Editor, inseed of a Text Writer. ;(
