Need some major help with my CT, a few problems here and there

MK7tester Just need to address a few problems with my CT. I'm anticipating a release but these issues must be fixed before it'll happen, sadly. :(

There are three seperate issues i'm having...

1. Texture transparency? Maya plugin stuff...


As you can see, the lack of transparency on the textures make the Mario sign and other textures look extremely bad

I know exporting an obj from a skp file and loading that same obj in EFE isn't the best way to do things, which is why I have downloaded Maya and the N4WC plugins, but I have no idea how to use the plugins, could someone teach me how? When I load my model in Maya all the textures seem to be gone, too, or at least that's what Maya renders.

2. More texture issues

These banner and castle gate textures seem to be screwing up for some reason. A previous banner I used worked fine, but this one keeps glitching. The actual textures look fine in Sketchup and EFE but get screwed up when loading in MK7 (see picture). I can't seem to identify the problem that's causing these textures to look this way. A few other custom textures I have look fine, but these two, oh no.




3. Routes

How do I add routes? I need a Chain Chomp and at least a few Goombas in my course. These two objects need routes for the game to load without freezing. I know this type of work cannot be done in KMP Expander but is there any other methods of adding at least two routes with specified pathpoints?

Miles Ermiiworth 1. You have to enable the Alpha in Creative Studio and the texture must have Alpha
2. The new texture you're using isn't a power of 2

Whenever I try to inject the CSV with the new paths it says it wasn't in the correct format. I simply pasted the values from another point and edited them accordingly so IDK what i'm doing wrong.

Nevermind, ignore this. I got it fixed. Now i'm wondering what Creative Studio is and where might I be able to find it.

MK7tester I'm all sorts of conufsed.

1. How do you even make the plugin work when you're in Maya? I found out how to install it but no idea how to make it convert my model to a cmdl file.

2. Why does my model have no textures in maya? It says it saves them or whatever but the thing renders without textures. Is that a bad thing?

3. How do you make animated textures? Gotta make the boost pad and glider pad move. Can you do that in creative studio too?

MKGirlism Since you deny to understand it, I'll try it one more time with Screenshots.

Problem 1
Go to Windows Explorer, right click "This PC" > Properties.
On the left hand side, press "Advanced system settings" > "Environment Variables" > "New...".
Do this:


After that, you double click one of the following BAT Files:


Once open, do your Modelling, and at the end, go to "Window" > "Rendering Editors" > "Hypershade".
Once open, go to "NW4C" > "NW4C Set Material Attribute...".
Select all Materials in Hypershade, and then in NW4C Set Material Attribute, make sure "Fragment Lighting" is turned off.


Go to "NW4C" > "NW4C Export with Setting...".
Follow the instructions here:


Exporting will take some time, so don't freak out if it seems it'll freeze.

Then finally, open Creative Studio, and while opening, it's important you wait!
Once you click anywhere while it's still opening, it'll Crash.

Now following this:


I hope you know the rest.

Problem 2
It depends on what you mean.
If the Model is all black, then select the entire Model, and go to "Normals" > "Unlock Normals".
If the Model is in Wireframe, just press "6" on your Keyboard.
If the Model is all white, then you'll need to re-apply the Textures.

Problem 3
I don't know about this one, you can ask Pablo, Yawshi, or Ermelber for that.

ステーウィ1.0 @MK7tester About ur 3rd problem, u can make animations in CreativeStudio, but im not sure how. Pablo knows how.

MK7tester Before we continue let me say that I have already fixed problems 2 and 3, and Yami's more descriptive tutorial might help me with the textures, too.

I tried this (using Translucency) and nothing happened. When I do additive translucency, the textures finally become transparent........


....at the cost of becoming see through >.<
