User 505 Hi Everybody :larry: i'm here because i have some questions but nott the answers and i think it's better to do that on one same thread.

So i searched in the forum but also in the DsHackOrg Archives(2008-2015) but i don't find any answer with these questions:

-You know that Waluigi Pinball and Wario Stadium have same music so if I want these two tracks to not have the same music what i should do?
Use MKDSCM or another program?

-How could we change the name of the track in the menu? For example replace GBA Peach Circuit with WIIU Twhomps Ruins. If it's something like coding i'm totally new on this thing.

-And the last question: What is the maximum number of triangles do a character should have?

Sorry if this is a lot but you know this is the Help section.

HAVE A NICE DAY!

MKGirlism 1. Yes, Waluigi Pinball and Wario Stadium share the same song.
2. Filenames must match, sorry.
3. Total amount cannot exceed 2048, if I remember correctly. This includes everything on screen per frame.
4. No need to put questions inside spoilers, because way?

SGC Yellow You're mostly correct, the second one is wrong, you've even seem people change the names of tracks on the Menu of MKDS before.
And yes, you CAN change files name, as well, with n00b level hex editing.

MKGirlism I mean, they must match while in-game, unless you do ASM Hacking.
Filenames can be custom while distributing them.

SGC Yellow He was talking about the in-game names, not the in code course names.

Arctus 64 1. If you want to change the music that's played on each course you'll need to download the arm9 editor by Ermelber.

2. It is possible to change the in-game course names, although I can't quite remember what the file was called for it, except that it was in an archive file called main2d something or other, and that you'll have to extract it from said archive file, but the editor you'll want to use is the bmg editor in MKDSCM.

3. From what I've seen, Player models use about 200 tris, and about half that for the CPU models.

MKGIRLISM:
1.Thanks now i'm sure
2.Filenames is something like that?or something else

3.So if this is something like 200 or minus (but you do 200x8(characters)=1600 and 2048-1600=448 triangles but 448 for a track is not a lot,it's possible that i understand nothing)
4. I removed them but if this is a bad thing i will remembert this in my little head

SGC:
Yes in-game or something like that if this is possible(i see it in MK0)

N64 ARCTUS:
1.Arm9 editor? Okay i will check it when i can(actually doing game ripping)
2.I actually use the BMG editor but he gives me this error:
Load Error/Invalid data detected during decoding
3. 200 triangles okay thanks and what is CPU models please ?:(

MKGirlism: Spoilers for the images ;)

Arctus 64 1. Glad I could help.

2. Like I said, the BMG Editor in MKDSCM. But I guess that I forgot that there was another BMG Editor as well for Wii games.

3. CPU models are, simply put, the models used for computer opponents in single player.

Arctus 64 2. From what I heard, you can copy and paste those points and they will appear normally in-game, since they are simply the BMG editor's interpretation of the SNES, N64, GBA, and GCN icons, and just as well, you can delete the points without any problems in-game.

But is there a method to a wii u interpretation on the bmg editor?
Sorry if I annoyed you :,(

Arctus 64 Sadly, there is no Wii U graphic in MKDS, seeing as at the time MKDS was released, the Wii U wasn't so much as a thought in Nintendo's minds. So the only way to add a Wii U graphic would be to edit the game's font itself and replace another one of the icons, which can be found in Main2D.carc under the name marioFont.NFTR, and the tool to use is called NFTR Editor, and can be found with a simple Google search.

SGC Yellow This thread is in the MKDS Section it has nothing to do with MK7, if you want to ask a question like that, do not ask here.
Make a thread about it here, instead: https://www.dshack.org/forum.php?page=forum&fid=10

Your post is also off topic so it will now be deleted as well.
