Hello, this is my first CT ever, its an hemispherical planet. Its BETA so enemies are dummy and there is no lighting and animations. Thanks to ph&g for teaching such a noob like me :P. Here you are some screenshots:








Looks really good! Does it have a name yet?

mence Agreed as well, a tutorial on this would be nice, and maybe lessen the complaints received on some of the tracks submitted to the hack store that have poor quality.

Thanks :P it lags a bit before the glider section when you race against CPU, i will try to fix that before i finish illumination :)


Can't wait to play the beta version of this. :)

mence Back when I was 13, I created a YT channel called "supersalamences" in 2009 (which was inspired by superskarmory from youtube), ever since then, people have called me Mence and it just stuck with me.

I had an interest for tornadoes when I was younger, so maybe that's why. It isn't frequent anymore though, just years ago I always had those kinds of dreams.

I also hate the dreams where you are falling and you wake up with a mini panic attack because you thought you were falling. .-.

mence It looks really great, especially for a W.I.P. You came back at the right time with CTs being possible to play again on 11.0.

There's not much I can really say as it's really well done! Make sure to add a decent amount of coins and 2 to 3 sets of item boxes for the track! Good luck and can't wait for the release.

mence Thanks for the help. I have a question though: Since you were making a night texture hack, is there a way to add a post effect to your character to make it a bit darker? Could you take the night effect from Shy Guy Bazaar or is it not possible?

mence On some courses, .bcstm's will cause freezes on the following: Pirahna Plant Slide, Wario Shipyard, Rainbow Road, and Koopa Cape. (There are probably a few more but these come to mind). Anyway, the problem is probably due to them being multi-channel. Is there any information I can go off of for how many channels each track uses, similar to MKW where Toad's Factory had 4 multi-channel tracks?

First of all, thank you for listing the tracks too, I had to find that out the hard way and tried for hours to make a music hack and didn't know that it would crash anyway.

MKGirlism posted this a while ago, I hope that this can help:
"If you want to figure it out yourself, you can just Export BCSTM's as WAV (through EFE), and open those in Audacity.
If you see more than 2 Tracks, it's Multi-Channel."

Okay, I managed to fix it. Changing the decimal separator used by my system from , to . made it work. Thanks for the help anyway!

mence Astounding as usual, Baoulettes!

Some ideas for your next CT (stated in OP)

- a track based in a mountainous area (similar to rock rock mountain)
- a sunrise track based on a highway, early morning vibes!
- a graveyard track (although, you have just finished this, so maybe not)
- an ocean-based track (full underwater)

mence If you said this is a forest track, I would most likely recommend adding trees and as an obstacle, try adding walking trees from DS Luigi's Mansion.

mence No problem ^^ I'm trying to think of what else could be added. If there were water in this forest track I'd recommend the frog enemy from DK Jungle as well.

Also about walking tree they could be added right after the Broken Wooden bridge :)

mence Bump.

This track was tested online in an 8 player room the other night. It seems to lag on countdown and in other areas on the track. Just wanted to notify you! The track is fine with 5 players or less though.

mence Elemental Cave seems fine with 8 players. It's just a bit dark, but you have addressed that already. Item routes were fixed by B.B.

mence Usually, people struggle to get their checkpoints to work when doing a KMP.

*Make sure you have your Key Checkpoints assigned.
*Remove objects you aren't using on your track.
*Assign the startline with Y-Clicking.
*Make sure item/enemy routes have next and prev set to "0" (just create 3 points and get your track to work first before making these)
*Make sure to have at least one respawn point.

Also, to zoom-in in KMPe, I use a computer mouse and it zooms in just fine.

mence Since it's not letting me edit my previous post, make sure you keep "Unknown" in your objects, this is the skybox and is necessary to have.
