Y0shimario0 Title says it all. My system is an iMac late 2006, 32 bit efi, 64 bit cpu, which is a core 2 duo clocked at 1.83.

Captain Famicom Ubuntu Mate or Antergos. They work great on old hardware(antergos you should use openbox or xfce)

MKGirlism I can recommend Manjaro.
Manjaro is Arch Linux, but much easier to install, and more stable.

CosmicEternity Manjaro looks promising, MKGirlism, does it work in vmware, because I want to try it out.

MKGirlism Well, what doesn't work in VMWare?

Well, Ubuntu doesn't work in VirtualBox, for some odd reason...

Kitty Remilya Ambiance I recommend Xubuntu or Lubuntu. They're lighter and faster variants of Ubuntu. Xubuntu has XFCE and Lubuntu has LXDE, while Ubuntu has Unity.

I don't think anything doesn't work in VMWare. Heck, I managed to get Longhorn 3718 to work with proper sound in VMWare, it was a huge pain trying to get the sound to work, but still. Seems VMWare is a lot more compatible (and faster on this Celeron N3050) than VirtualBox, though I have both installed.

CosmicEternity @MKGirlism: Installed Xubuntu on a Windows 10 host in VirtualBox and it works fine... :/
Also one thing that does break in VMWare on Windows 8+ hosts is sound in an XP guest.
